Eastington Park is an exclusive wedding venue in Gloucestershire that is simply stunning. It’s a historic Georgian country house surrounded by beautiful grounds and gardens and is the perfect wedding venue for your special day.
I’ve photographed this venue many times over the years and each time I do, I am always blown away by how wonderful it is. There are so many different locations for wedding photographs, that I am always spoilt for choice, and it is also one of the those venues that it doesn’t matter if it’s rain or shine, the interior is just as spectacular as the exterior so you are never without the chance to get amazing wedding photos. Eastington park is a wedding venue with a staircase that is amazing and gives you the opportunity to create some truly stunning artistic images from your wedding day.
There was some early debate with Charlie, her bridesmaids and mum as to whether or not the wedding should be outside, apparently it might have been a bit cold. Without wanting to influence things too much, I did subtly add my thoughts to the discussion outlining how awesome the images would be if it was outside. Where they have the ceremony in the gardens is simply to die for (see images below) and is way better than an indoor wedding. As it happens, the events team and Eastington Park staff had already worked on the assumption that the wedding would be outside, so there was nothing really to debate.
Next, it was upstairs for the bridal preparations in the exclusive bridal suite that is set aside for hair, makeup and getting ready. Again, this is one of those wedding venues that has made a considerable effort to make things easy for brides. There is a separate room for hair and makeup that has decent windows and lights around the mirrors. Any hair stylist and makeup artist will be thankful you are getting ready here.
As this was a black tie affair, many of the men turned up in black suits and bow ties. I have to say, this idea is awesome for a wedding. With all the men matching the groom, it just looks incredible, and so incredibly smart.
Without doubt, Charlie and David are an amazing couple. It was so much fun to be with them during the morning preparations. Everything was so relaxed and laid back, and everything just ticked along smoothly. I wonder how much of that was down to the bridesmaids?
It was awesome to watch Charlie and her brother walk through the garden from the house to the wedding ceremony, such a great idea to have the wedding outside. It’s almost like watching a movie in real life. I think David may well have been overwhelmed when he saw Charlie walking towards him…
The whole day was simply perfect. The weather was kind to us, the grounds are beautiful and the house is an amazing backdrop for a wedding. We rattled through a few of the obligatory group shots for good measure in a very short amount of time (group shots should never take that long), and the rest of the day was spent mingling and simply having fun. I did take Charlie and David to the secret garden for a few ‘couples shots’ for good measure, and despite Charlie’s best efforts to not be photographed on her own, I got some beautiful images of her in the wedding dress. Before heading in for food, I did get all the chaps to throw David in the air for some arial shots – and they performed the task effortlessly.
I ended the day at around some time around 10ish, perhaps a little after, and the party was still going strong. This lot really know how to party!
Charlie, David, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your wedding. It was a real pleasure to share the day with you, and I hope you enjoyed your day.
