This is my second destination wedding in France, and I am loving the castles, the weather, the landscapes and my word the food and wine; just out of this world.
I’d say the one off the biggest advantages to a destination wedding is the time factor – there isn’t one. With the removal of a time limit at the end of the day, weddings in France are a much more relaxed affair, with so much more time for partying and dancing. The wedding ceremony usually starts after lunch so you have the whole morning to take in your surroundings. Every destination wedding I have photographed so far, the bride-to-be has been so happy and has enjoyed the whole process of getting ready without feeling rushed or pressured.
Château de Sauveboeuf is located in the picturesque region of Dordogne in France which is just a short drive my where I stay in the south, and it’s a beautiful location. I visited the château last year to meet up with the bride and groom to discuss options and the plan for the day, so I already had a million and one ideas in my head.
The whole day went so smoothly, and it’s easy to see why they chose this venue for a wedding. It was amazing to see so many happy faces. I look forward to my next wedding here.
Below are some of my favourites from the day, and again, huge thanks to Daniela and Alexandre for inviting me to be part of the special day.
