2018 has been quite a year, with so many amazing weddings, and it’s hard to narrow down the selection to my favourite one. Sophie and Ryan’s wedding at Elmore Court in Gloucestershire is surely a contender for the top spot this year.

Sophie and Ryan are such a wonderful couple together, and it was a pleasure to be part of their special day. You could see throughout the day how in love they are, especially when Ryan first saw Sophie walk down the aisle in the church (St Nicholas Church in Hardwicke for those who are interested), such a wonderful moment.

I have photographed weddings are Elmore Court before so I knew the venue well, and it’s such a beautiful location. The house and grounds provide the perfect backdrop, especially when you consider the weather we have had this year – certainly not your typical English summer.

The whole day went without a hitch, but one of my favourite moments (aside from Ryan in the church) was the Samba Band – folks, get some live music for your wedding, nothing can beat the atmosphere created by musicians playing music. The bridal party performed the first piece to welcome the guests, and with some initial instructions they pulled of quite a beat – certainly had rhythm, thats for sure.
