Tofte Manor in Bedfordshire is one of those places that you would love to have your wedding. The setting is perfect. A beautiful house set in some stunning gardens that give a wedding photographer so many opportunities for amazing photos.
Yasmine and Liam booked me after I photographed their friends wedding and this would be the 6th or 7th event from the same group of friends, and I have to say that this group of friends are awesome! I still have some more to come next year too so I get to see everyone again.
I knew from early on that this would be a wedding I would remember. The day started with the bridal preparations and some slightly loopy bridesmaids (you know who you are) that added such a great sense of fun to the morning. I love wedding like this where there is no question about the amount of fun everyone will have on the day – I don’t even think that much Prosecco was consumed at this stage so I knew it was only going to get more lively as the day progressed. I was not wrong! After some fun with the bride and bridesmaids it was time to meet up with the grooms party. A very easy group of chaps to photograph, again with an amazing backdrop to set up some great images.
One of my favourite shots from this day is the look on Liam’s face as Yasmine walks down the aisle. I always try to get this one, but Liam provided a great expression where you can clearly see he is trying to hold it together – I caught the initial look and the tight-lipped reaction too, and no surprise either, Yasmine looked amazing.
As with all of the weddings I photograph my aim is to get any official group traditional photos taken quite quickly and free up plenty of time for mingling and fun shots. The garden at the back of Tofte manor is perfect for this. Lots of space with a stunning house as the backdrop. I spent some time with the bridal party in the gardens getting some great shots of a beautiful group of friends before getting some official wedding shots of the happy couple. Again, this was such an easy part of the day as everyone looked pretty awesome.
It was a lovely surprise that Yasmine and Liam say me on a table with everyone I knew from previous weddings that I had photographed and my only regret was not being able to share a glass of wine in celebration with them. I send my sincere thanks to both of them for such a wonderful gesture.
So, the day ended with people going nuts of the dance floor – which was foretold by the morning preparations – and I was sad to leave. This was an amazing day and I got spend more time with some wonderful people that I have met and photographed over the years.
Sending my thanks to Yasmine and Liam for inviting me to their wonderful day and I hope you all enjoy looking through the images from your day as much as I enjoyed taking them.
